The Trend Following Method A simple trend following method is to use a 9 period simple moving average of the closing prices and an 18 period moving average of the closing prices.
The last major part of the theory is the trend should be assumed to still be in force until there is a definite indication that the direction has in fact changed.
Depending on which financial newspaper you buy you will either see the bid/offer price quoted separately or if there is just one price that is normally the mid price between the bid/offer spread.
